Social media is perfectly built for Live streaming! It provides the perfect medium to broadcast creative content to a worldwide video eager audience.

So with YouTube, Periscope and Meerkat all launching live streaming capabilities, have Facebook been a bit late to the party? Well, it would appear not!

Disney chose Facebook Live for its last three European blockbuster film press conferences. The star studded long awaited Iron Man sequel, Captain America and Tim Burtons, Alice through the looking Glass. All the press conferences were streamed live from London to Disney’s Facebook page with members of the press firing questions to the respective films directors and cast.

Let’s face facts with big Hollywood names like of Robert Downey junior, Tim burton, and Jonny Depp  (to name only a few), answering questions to the worlds media, Facebook Lives’ platform needed to be stable and like the numerous stars on stage, it didn’t disappoint! The viewer numbers were through the roof and are still climbing daily as fans of the film franchises and stars tuned in.

EventStreaming.TV provided the vision mixing / encoding equipment plus crew to stream both events, and the good news is Facebook Live is intuitive, versatile and so far rock solid.

Simon Vision Mixer for EventStreaming.TV commented; “We knew that the sheer popularity and media hype surrounding these films would throw viewer numbers through the roof but its currently topping just over a million which is nuts”

Adrian Taplin of EventStreaming.TV also followed “We’re really looking forward to seeing the innovative ways in which our clients and people around the globe will embrace it.”
