Project Description

Each year the Symposium attracts over 1,000 delegates, representing the energy and dynamism of the global MND research community. It is the largest medical and scientific conference specific to MND and is the premier event in the research calendar.

Due to Covid this year’s event was held online, filmed and streamed from a purpose built studio in the associations Northampton headquarters.

The 3-day virtual symposium attracted a global audience in excess of 16,000 from over 57 countries. Interaction and engagement were paramount with the delegates being able to ask questions, review posters, network and vote.

Webcast production company Event Streaming .TV had worked with the association for over 15 years traveling the globe streaming past events from the USA, Australia and Europe.

This Year Event Streaming .TV provided all the equipment and crew to manage every aspects of the virtual symposium production from live filming, managing virtual presenters via zoom, vision mixing and encoding the stream to an embedded player.

Brian Dickie, Director of Research Development wrote: “ I wish to express my thanks for the outstanding service and support we received. The pandemic forced us to change from the traditional ‘face to face’ format we have used for three decades to a ‘virtual’ event at relatively short notice.

This meant an incredibly steep learning curve for myself and my colleagues, but our concerns were greatly alleviated by the professionalism and assurance exhibited by the Event Streaming .TV team, both in the run up to and during the event itself.

The Symposium could not have gone more smoothly. We have had tremendous feedback. Thank you for going not just one, but several extra miles”

Event Streaming .TV have been in the webcasting and hybrid conference industry for over 20 years filming and streaming remote presenters and panelists into live events and webinars. They use professional tools, equipment and experience to manage remote contributors and presenters seamlessly into any event, allowing for real-time contributions and Q&A.

Unsure how or where to stream too?  Please do get in touch and we’d be happy to talk through all the options for your latest virtual symposium (however crazy).
